Making an InDesign PDF
Go to File>Adobe PDF Presets>[PDF/X-1a:2001]
(This is the same high-quality setting you would send to a professional printer)
(Note: PDF/X-1a does NOT warn you if your images are less than 300ppi at 100%.
So I hope you checked. :)
First Window
Save the file where you can find it
Second Window: Settings
Under "General"
Check "Spreads"
Check "View PDF After Exporting"
Under "Marks and Bleeds"
Check "Crop Marks"
Check "Use Document Bleed Settings" (should be p9 or .125")
Click "Export"
The pdf should pop up. Check to see if it has:
- both pages,
- crop marks,
- and that the bleed is set up properly.
If it does, this file can now be sent to the printer.
