Mike Baker’s Son’s Portrait

Oil painting of Mike Baker's son and daughter-in-law.

This project took quite a while and turned out differently than I expected, but I’m happy with it. It also looks differently in real life than it does in the photo.

Interesting use of positive-negative space.

50′s Singer

Faces

I have been drawing seriously for the past twenty years, but it has only been in the last three years that it has become automatic — that I look at something and can draw it well, or need to draw something and it “draws itself.” I must have finally reached my 15,000 hours of drawing…

(And I lied. This won’t be one a day, but occasional entries as time permits.)
